Gouin On The River
Currently in construction, this home in RDP was purchased by a nice young couple who have a great sense of style and a strong vision for the space. They knew they wanted a black kitchen which formed the basis for the rest of our designs. The design of the kitchen with the dropped table section allows for a casual dining experience just off of the family room area, bringing the two sections closer together for better interaction with family members or guests. Although the marble block island eliminates lower cabinet space on the back of the island, the three extra pantries more than makes up for any lost storage. In the master bath we re-configured the layout and expanded a wall in order to created a more spacious and luxurious feel. The light tiles from the main were repeated on the walls and floor and then we created a sort of "color block" section of black marble for the shower and bath area to add contrast and to bring some repetition of black from the main floor. The same theme was repeated in the guest bathroom but with a more graphic chevron patterned tile in the shower.
